The Canva journey began back in 2007 when Melanie Perkins was studying at the University of Western Australia. Melanie taught students how to use programs such as InDesign and Photoshop — programs that people found hard to learn and even harder to use.
After coming up an idea for an online tool, Melanie and Canva co-founder Cliff Obrecht took out a loan and brought in a small tech team led by Cameron Adams, a hardcore Googler, who’d worked on Wave and other projects. Cameron was someone who shared their vision and culture, and is now Canva’s Chief Product Officer.
Canva is growing rapidly, has a great team of designers, developers, artists, marketers, investors, and advisors. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and it’s only the beginning.
Imagine a world where your customers pay on time, and your staff are focused on revenue generating activities, instead of late payments. This is the world that Arjun Singh, Shailendra Patil and Raj Kuckreja envisaged before embarking on ezyCollect. “With over 95 percent of business failures attributed to poor cash flow, solving this problem has a massive impact” says Singh.
We’re adding more accounting integrations and connected services so that ezyCollect users are, or will be, one-click away from added-value services—things like doing credit checks on customers, enabling credit monitoring, and accessing third party finance, legal and debt collection agencies.
After working in PR for over 15 years, Flaunter Founder and CEO Gaby Howard had become frustrated by the difficulty of sharing brand imagery and products with media, retailer and influencer networks. Flaunter’s mission is to make it easy for brands to reach new audiences by connecting their content with the best storytellers. Behind Flaunter is an awesome and extremely dedicated team, hailing from all sorts of places and spaces — Australia, France, Argentina, India and the Philippines.
Starting out in 2013 as a freight business that operated a network of pick-up and drop-off locations, the business rapidly developed software to help shop assistants handle parcel deliveries and collections. The technology soon expanded its capabilities by integrating a retailer’s physical inventory with its online stock to increase delivery options available to customers and provide tools for in-store staff to effectively manage orders.
Today Fluent Commerce, led by chief executive Graham Jackson and co-founder Mehdi Fassie, is a cloud-native solution utilised by some of the largest retailers across Australia and the United Kingdom. Clients include Woolworths, Target, JD Sports, Samsung, Nine West, Big W, Australia Post and French Connection.
Mable started life originally as “Better Caring” when our co-founder Peter Scutt teamed up with his friend and colleague, Tony Charara, after struggling to find the right home care solution for his parents. That collaboration resulted in an entirely new concept in community care led by the people that matter, which they’ve been constantly refining and improving upon ever since.
Today, Mable is proud to offer Australia’s largest and most diverse online community of independent support workers. Together, we’re redefining support for disability and aged care in Australia – one connection at a time.
